On April 10 & 11, REALTORS® throughout Montgomery County (…and all over the country, for that matter) showcased their properties so potential buyers can find that ideal house to make their home before the Home Buyer Tax Credit expires.

How was this weekend different than any other weekend in April? It was an incredible opportunity for buyers to shop for a new home while:

• Interest rates were still low
• Home prices were lower
• There were a variety of home choices available
• The Expanded Homebuyer’s Tax Credit, worth up to $8,000, was still available

Thank you to everyone who played a part in the REALTOR® Nationwide Open House event.

• Open houses were held at more than 950 properties in Montgomery County alone.

• Consumer awareness publicity was featured in newscasts on FOX 29, CBS 3 and NBC 10. 

• Additionally, the following print publications ran articles and announcements: Times Herald, Lansdale Reporter, Montgomery Media newspapers, The Intelligencer, Philadelphia Inquirer, and Philadelphia Business Journal.
